Eleonore ExtEndet

Explosion installation, Maindeck - Continuous
and
Acoustic Foray - Continuous
and
Brush Oscillator live - Fri, 6 Sept, 22:00

Celebrate the farewell in style, an extEnded version of deconstruction… collaboration ahoy We lift the Eleonore out of the river Traun and anchor her as an explosion installation on the main deck in front of the Stadtwerkstatt! With her innermost being turned inside out, we will use the last 48 hours to gather in the ship's mess, stroll through the belly of the ship into the hall or one of the berths or let our gaze wander on the sun deck.

Excerpts from the works by Eva Grün and the “recording spaces” by Mario Bergamasco, which were created as part of their demolition residency “extEndet ahoi”, could be found: Parts of the postcard series “Return to Sender”, ship diaries or the brush oscillator, a work in progress by Eva Grün with Marc9 and Taro Knopp. From this contact is formed.
Brush oscillator live on Fri, 6 Sept at 22:00 at Hallenfragment at the square.

During the demolition residency (and the scrapping?) a lot of sound material was captured, which will be melted down into an acoustic journey through the last weeks of the measuring ship Eleonore. At some points in the installation, visitors can dock with headphones* and immerse themselves in the sound at the harbour of longing, located on the Traun between heavy industry and nature reserve.

Dont miss it … come … see and listen!
Let's float … 'till it ends!

*Note about the headphones: bring your own and there will be some to borrow!

Idea and installation: Eva Grün, Taro Knopp, Jan Nahuel Jenny
Sound material: Eva Grün, Mario Bergamasco, Marc Schrögendorfer, Taro Knopp, Flo Panhölzl
