NOPE Ship Talk
Talk and exchange in an informal style
Sat, 7. Sept, 18:30-20:00
Maindeck
On Sat, 7 September, the NOPE SHIP TALK will take place on the Maindeck. All artists and protagonists of this year's edition who work directly and metaphorically with ships and ship parts are invited to present their projects, approaches and underlying intentions in an informal atmosphere. The NOPE SHIP TALK will take place in the ship setting on the main deck in front of the Stadtwerkstatt.
Fixed participants are: The conceptualisers of the unfinished Gesamtkunstwerk Die STWST als Schiff, operators of the ship and media art residency location Eleonore and their (media) art residencies, the scrapping specialists of the ship Eleonore, the thinkers of autonomous floating bodies and their history, the protagonists of this year's last Eleonore residency; and artists who are dealing with ships as metaphors in this year's edition of STWST48.
The talk will take place in an informal atmosphere as an exchange of diverse expertise.
Viewers and listeners are cordially invited to join the talk.
The talk will be hosted by taro knopp, who will begin the talk with an intro about his own ISOLATKOMBINAT-CORELEBEN project, which was realised on the ship Eleonore, among others. The artists present are invited to talk about their approaches to their work.
During the talk and throughout the 48 hours, the NOPE Exhibition, which positions the works in the Anti-White Cube of STWST, can be viewed in the building.
