F.E. Rakuschan was and is, even after his death, one of the most important Austrian media art theorists.

F.E. Rakuschan, media epistemologist, lived as a freelance author in Vienna and Berlin. From 1989, he collaborated with numerous artists, co-founder Kunstlabor, from 2003-2010 he was a lecturer at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, later at the UdK Berlin. From 2006 F.E. Rakuschan was a member of L.S., the Ludic Society. And much more.

Under titles such as “Collateral damage included, network/world/society*” (mycel.net), “Im Reich der Devianzen. Niemand ist sich seiner sicher” (STWST publication “In Arbeit”) or “Kunst & Ekel: Form als Antiform, Kunst als Antikunst, Markt als Antimarkt” (transversal.at), F.E. Rakuschan has written numerous texts - to cite just a few of his eloquent titles here.

F.E. Rakuschan gave up his physical existence in autumn 2023. However, the spirit, manifested in his texts, continues to accompany us.

We will solemnly remember him.
